All services will be undertaken in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct of the Royal Town Planning Institute*.
I will discuss with the client, the likely scope and extent of the work and the level of fees before providing a formal written confirmation of the fees and a letter of agreement. The client will confirm acceptance of the agreement before any work commences. In most cases, I will provide an upper limit for the cost of the project.
Any changes to the project will be subject to an amended agreement.
Fees are calculated for each particular project but the hourly charge rate will be charged on the basis of the time spent or a fixed price may be agreed in some cases. Fees are not subject to VAT.
The fees will include travelling expenses, all correspondence and representations on your behalf. Unforeseen expenses or sizeable disbursement costs may be added to the account but these will be discussed with the client as early as possible, and certainly before they are incurred.
The fees will not include any statutory fees, legal fees or the fees of any other experts or consultants that may be needed for a particular project. These will be discussed with the client as early as possible, and certainly before they are incurred.
The client agrees and accepts that success cannot be guaranteed because of the nature and uncertainties of planning procedure and legislation.
The Client must supply upon request all necessary relevant information, documents, plans, material etc.. in his/her possession within a reasonable time.
